Investment & Strategy Analyst - Internship
Paris
Duration:
Internship (6 months, July–December 2026)
About Athvance Capital
Athvance Capital is a European sports investment platform that acquires and operates majority and minority stakes in sports IP - across multiple verticals.
Structured as an evergreen industrial group rather than a traditional closed-end fund, we create long-term value by deploying proprietary technology and media infrastructure across our portfolio companies.
Founded by operators and investors from JP Morgan, DAZN, Eleven Sports and LVMH, Athvance closed an initial €60M round in 2025 and is scaling toward €100M+ in net asset value.
The role
We are looking for an Investment & Strategy Analyst (Intern) to join our team in Paris, working directly under the guidance of the Managing Director and the Investment Director.
You will sit at the centre of our deal flow - pre-screening the opportunities we receive, assessing co-investment situations, and helping sharpen the proprietary tools we use to evaluate them. You'll work hand-in-hand with the Managing Director on the strategic and cross-functional questions that shape the platform, gaining an unusually complete view of how an investment group is actually built and run.
It is a rare, high-trust seat for someone who wants real responsibility early - and the chance to prove they belong on the team for the long run.
Key responsibilities
Investment & pipeline analysis
Assess investment and co-investment opportunities across the pipeline
Pre-assess the decks and opportunities we receive against our investment criteria
Help refine and fine-tune the pre-screening guidelines
Build and review financial models, valuations and investment memos
Support due diligence and investment committee preparation
Portfolio & finance exposure
Support the assessment of portfolio companies' performance and financial needs
Contribute to portfolio reporting, KPI monitoring and modelling
Gain exposure to holding-level finance and NAV in line with our evergreen structure
Strategic & cross-functional support
Work directly with the leading team on strategic and transversal projects
Help prepare investor and management materials
Take on the ad hoc initiatives that come with building a fast-scaling platform
Profile
Final-year or gap-year Master's student at a top-tier business school, engineering school or university, with a finance or accounting foundation
A first experience (internship) in private equity, investment banking, transaction services, audit, corporate finance, strategy consulting or a high-growth startup is a plus
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; genuine comfort with valuation concepts
Rigorous, proactive and autonomous - comfortable with ambiguity and a broad, evolving remit
Fluent in English and French
Proficiency with AI and automation tools is a plus
A real interest in sports, media and entertainment is a plus
The internship
Duration: 6 months, July to December 2026
Location: Paris
What's next: strong potential to convert into a full-time role for the right person
What we offer
Join a team rethinking how sport is owned, built and monetised across Europe - and help write the playbook as we go.
A genuine front-row seat on every deal, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Managing Director and Investment Director
Real ownership from day one: your work directly shapes which opportunities we back and how we run
Rare breadth for an internship - from deal screening to strategy to portfolio value creation
A direct line to how decisions get made at the top of a fast-scaling investment platform
A genuine path to a full-time role for those who make themselves indispensable
